Translation

This songbook belongs to me, Catharina Espensched.

Oh how peaceful is the soul that prepares the lamp, that it does not lack oil, when the bridegroom comes! That is a clever bride, that sees to it while [there] is time. She will then pass the test well, and go to heaven’s joy. 1819.

[Left heart] Sing and play [for] your LORD in your hearts.

[Right heart] Honor the Lord all heathens, praise him all people.
