Sculpture representing deforestation on the corner of Main Street and Ninth Avenue in Collegeville, formed from cardboard, clay, wood and turf. The sculpture was displayed on the second floor of Pfahler Hall.

Student Statement

This visual project represents the detrimental effects of deforestation. We focused primarily on deforestation effects on Ursinus College after a tragic accident happened on the corner of 9th and Main St. in Collegeville, PA. After this accident, all the trees present on the corner were cut down to prevent further accidents. We chose to use cardboard to craft the stumps present due to their connection of being made from wood.
