Wirst du nun nicht neu gebohren,/Ach so steht es Sonnenklar,/Warlich, so gehst du verloren;/Jesu Wort bleibt ewig wahr./Dieses ist der Weg, die Bahn,/Die dich führet Himmelan,/Sonst sind alles falsche Stützen,/Die dich nicht im Tode schützen./Wann wir kaum gebohren werden,/Ist von erstem Lebenstritt,/Bis zum kühlen Grab der Erden,/Nur ein kurzgemeß’ner Schritt./Ach! mit jedem Augenblick/Gehet uns’re Kraft zurück;/Und wir sind mit jedem Jahre,/Allzureif zur Todtenbahre.

Hrn. Wm Bätes/Die Tauf=Zeugen waren: Lÿdia Zeller

Birth and Baptismal Certificate. To both of these spouses, Peter Zeller and his legal wife Elisabeth born Miller is a daughter to the world born, the 8th day of September in the year of our Lord, 1827. This daughter was born in Elisabeth Township in Lancaster County in the state of Pennsylvania in North America, and received through the holy Baptism the name Susanna Zeller the 22nd day of November in the year 1827 by the Reverend Mister William Bates. The baptismal sponsors were Lydia Zeller.

This is the only known Taufschein edition printed by Philip Hantsch. The images of the three virtues are very similar to the woodcuts used by printers in Orwigsburg and Pottsville.
