Description
This handwritten letter, circa 1988, from a student to members of Congress, is regarding the Union County, Kentucky, grave desecration. This is one of dozens of similar letters sent to Congress as part of a campaign to influence tougher legislation on the looting of burial sites.

Hey
You are a low-down [scum] if you let them do that. Would you like if your mom or dad died + I dug them up? I bet you will [feel] bad! Maybe you [should] ask other Indians. Maybe if you do that, a Indian might go wild + kill himself! Maybe a wild mad Indian could kill a fellow man! I may be in 5th grade but, I am not happy with what [you're] doing.
P.S. Don't let them.
