Description
This handwritten letter, circa 1988, from a student to members of Congress, is regarding the Union County, Kentucky, grave desecration. This is one of dozens of similar letters sent to Congress as part of a campaign to influence tougher legislation on the looting of burial sites.

Dear Congress,
I don't like what you're doing to that burial ground in Kentucky. I fully opposed to digging up Indians that have been dead for quite a few years. I don't understand why you need to dig up Indians at all. I don't think you would like archeologists digging up your families graves would you? Why don't you try digging in some deep swamp where they might have fallen in and drowned.
