This original poster promotes the Gathering of World Liberation Movements held in Tehran, Iran, from January 3rd to 9th, 1980. Art on the poster depicts organizations such as the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) banded together in a large red arrow that pierces the head of U.S. President Jimmy Carter atop a crumbling White House. A quotation from Imam Khomeini on the poster states: "Any weapon whether it is a pen or a gun should not be employed against one another. Instead, they should be aimed directly at the enemies of humanity, on top of them the governments of United States." The poster, containing text in English and Farsi, was published by "The Moslem Students Following the Line of Imam Khomeini."
