Comment
Henrich Otto, most famous for the numerous Taufscheine that he decorated, also made a number of drawings containing animals and flowers. The seahorse on this piece is a very rare image for Otto and appears in small scale on only a very few of his Taufscheine. The “6” which appears on this piece in the upper right corner is interesting and could possibly have been a price or a number in a series of fraktur drawings.
