Comment
This piece shows Daniel Otto’s frequent heavy use of yellow with red as an embellishment. The beehive, mortar and pestle motif at the top center is found more commonly as medicine bottle labels. The empty space below would be used to write in the name and dosage instructions. The only two known extant versions of this edition were made for brothers Michael (born May 16, 1793) and Daniel Stober (born February 14, 1809). Both were decorated by Daniel Otto with only slight variations.
