Abstract
This presentation will look at Netflix’s The Crown and analyze how it portrays the lack of personal freedom that the British Royal Family has and how that ties to the importance of The Crown in the world today. To accomplish this I will look at topics including: what is Monarchy/the love for the Royal Family, examples from The Crown on how the Royal Family's personal freedom is limited/the Meghan and Harry interview, responses to The Crown (viewing numbers and opposing critiques), examining the historical fiction genre and finally the importance of The Crown.
