Abstract
Advertising is arguably one of the most important elements to a business' marketing plan. Companies use advertising to speak to those who they want to consume their products. This research takes a look into how marketing still continues when life practically comes to a standstill during a global pandemic. How are advertising agencies and companies supposed to handle these situations and still continue advertising products but not be deaf to issues happening around themselves and their consumers? This research analyzes advertisements from a variety of brands and companies and finds what common themes were shown throughout and ultimately finds how advertising handles catastrophe through the study of advertising during the COVID-19 pandemic.
