Description
This canvas duffel mail bag is printed with the words "Hostage Mail Exchange Service". The bag was used by AIM activist John Thomas to help deliver mail from hostages being held at the United States Embassy in Tehran to their families in the United States and Europe. John Thomas did this in coordination with the United Methodist Church. He delivered mail multiple times in the year 1980.
