This original poster advertises the second International Conference in Solidarity with the Independence of Puerto Rico, held in Mexico City November 30th to December 2nd, 1979. The poster features red and white stripes and a single star as seen on the flag of Puerto Rico. It also contains a seal of the Communist Party of Mexico. The Puerto Rico independence movement is a call for the island of Puerto Rico to be independent from the United States of America.
