Description
An original event poster advertising the 7th International Indian Treaty Conference, held from June 4th to 11th, 1981 at White Earth, Minnesota. The poster features a drawing by Blake depicting Sitting Bull wearing a hat with a medicine wheel symbol and holding an AIM membership card. It also has quoted text from Sitting Bull: "Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for our children."
This example has significant damage to the lower half of the poster with a tear running from center to bottom.
Over sixty Indigenous nations from the Western Hemisphere came together to gather documents to be presented at the United Nations NGO conference.
