Description
Students created colorful glass projects in the interdisciplinary course "Form and Fusion: The Art and Science of Ceramics and Glass" at Ursinus College in Spring 2026. In this photo a completed glass rainbow spectrum is displayed outside on fishing line. This project was presented to the campus as part of the Celebration of Student Achievement on April 29, 2026.
Student Statement
With our project, we tried to capture the entire light spectrum. Using all of the colors, we progressed as in the order of the rainbow. This pattern gave us a cool effect as we were able to see the change in color of the lights. Using fishing line, we were able to successfully mitigate the amount of shadows seen in the final result.
