Description

Students created colorful glass projects in the interdisciplinary course "Form and Fusion: The Art and Science of Ceramics and Glass" at Ursinus College in Spring 2026. In this photo a completed glass rainbow spectrum project is on display in the Floy Lewis Bakes Center as part of the Celebration of Student Achievement on April 29, 2026.

Student Statement

Our intention behind this piece was to have a rainbow effect from one end to the other with no specific intention on what glass was used but each group member got to express creativity and freedom with their pieces. The rainbow aspect is supposed to represent inclusivity and equality on campus! We intentionally used different sizes and lengths to create dimension throughout the piece.
