July 29, 1909.
My dear Mr. Mejia:
You will be interested and doubtless glad to hear that the President has selected Mr. William Heimke, who has for so many years been in our foreign service and who is now Minister to Guatemala, for appointment as Minister to Salvador. We have today telegraphed to the Legation at San Salvador to ascertain the agreement of your Government, explaining at the same time that the impending adjournment of the Senate makes an early response desirable.
With kind regards, I am, always, my dear Mr. Mejia,
Yours sincerely,
[signature]
Senor Don Federico Mejia,
etc., etc., etc.,
Minister of Salvador.
