Project Description
A collection of four short stories from The Bahamas and Guyana, which includes works in animal tales, the short play, and the narrative short story. All four are based on or are inspired by true events that people in my extended family experienced. The purpose of this project was to develop and refine my own skills as a writer, and to give voice to an underrepresented storyteller- that of poor fishermen and farmers in the Caribbean. Doing so I hope preserves some of my family's cultural heritage, and motivates other writers to do the same. Despite the use of multiple genres, all the stories are framed as folk tales. The full anthology will be published on Amazon.
