Description
The material from this course has taught me many things about my understanding of the world and Black imagination. Two pieces that stood out to me were “Mother to Son” by Langston Hughes and A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry. Both have strong themes on the power of dreams. While most people have dreams that they want to achieve in life, these two pieces really demonstrated the obstacles that the Black community must go through to achieve theirs.
