Description
This project compares "Gorilla, My Love" by Toni Cade Bambara and the iconic memoir, "How We Fight For Our Lives" by Saeed Jones. These texts inspired my perspective on Black Imagination and how I perceive its content through the characters' point of view, truth tellin' tactics of self- discovery, identity and expression. Both texts have an underlying similarity discussing events of black adolescence and have connecting themes of vulnerability and family, trust and solidarity.
