Description
For this project I will be comparing the drama Beloved by Toni Morrison with the poem “ Mitochondrial Eve” by Tim Fab-Eme. Both of these works deeply contributed to my understanding of Black imagination through their use of truth-tellin’ to illustrate the intricacy, beauty, struggle, and power of Black womanhood. I will be analyzing these works through their connecting themes of womanism and autonomy, and individually discussing their unique contributions to topics such as femininity, power, and identity.
