Description
This is the eighty-fifth page of a scrapbook assembled and presented to Eleanor Snell by her student athletes on the occasion of Snell’s retirement testimonial dinner in May, 1970.
This page features a cartoon and articles from the Ursinus Weekly newspaper about women's sports. The cartoon originates from the October 20, 1958 Ursinus Weekly newspaper.
The text reads, in part: "Winter 1950. 9 Ursinus Hockey Stars in National Tourney; 1956. Belles Wallop Drexel to Remain Undefeated; Nov. 54. Women's Varsity Hockey; 1956 (?). Gros Again Sparks Victory as Belles Cop First Undefeated Season in Twenty Years; 1958 1959. Better tip your dink it might be a girl."
