[Miss Snell -]

[A few words of appreciation and best wishes from us rowdies of 1962 ...]

[Dear Miss Snell,]

[I have many remembrances from Ursinus - one concerns hockey. In my junior year I told you I didn't understand how fullbacks should cover in the circle and you just laughed; but when you asked me to explain this play in Coaching & Officiating you found out I really didn't know - and I had played for you for three years! I must have been doing something right - by nature!]

[I'm so pleased and thankful that I had the opportunity to have you as a coach and teacher. Best of luck to you -]

[Sincerely,]

[Anne Sansenbach Gasser '62]

[Dear Miss Snell,]

[Thank you for many things.]

[Sincerely,]

[Joan Fry Brinton]

[Miss Snell,]

[A very inadequate 'thank you' for more things than I could begin to list.]

[Memories: Some very rewarding victories on the field and court kept in proper perspective by a few very disappointing defeats; Racing against the late bell to get to class before you - we usually made it; Would the finals be dry when we took the test or would we have to inhale fumes.]

[These days I am enjoying some part time coaching and officiating and mostly chasing after 2 lively boys - Craig 4 and Todd 1 1/2.]

[Thank you again for all you did on our behalf and very best wishes for a relaxing and enjoyable retirement.]

[Lynne]

[Hi Miss Snell,]

[I'm certainly glad that you didn't retire before I got to Ursinus. I have so many fond memories of my four years. There were fun times and difficult times that all added up to growing up.]

[Best wishes to you Miss Snell and hopefully I'll see you before another 8 years are up.]

[Fondly,]

[Lore Hamilton Tignor '62]

[Miss Snell -]

[Remember before the Beaver game in '62 when we were undefeated and waiting to go to the game. You pulled up in front of Beardwood and yelled, "Get those starters down there!" We really hustled. We lost the game and messed up an undefeated season but we did learn never to be too cocky. The word "coach" means much more after having played and worked under you. Thanks so much for being an example of what you teach.]
