The following text appears in the folded space between pages 30-31 and was unable to be digitized: "One influence that may cause a lasting change in Ursinus jargon is the assimilation of Navy slang that has taken place in the past two years. Floors are now decks, walls are bulkheads, the dining room is the chow hall, and a bed is a sack. Previous to the establishment of the Perkiomen beach-head, no one on the campus had ever heard of strength tests or compulsory cross country running or morning exercises. Now P.T. and the obstacle course are familiar to all."
