A volume from the private library of the Reverend John Henry Augustus Bomberger (1817-1890), founder and first President of Ursinus College.

Bomberger served as chairman of both the Board of Domestic Missions and the Board of Foreign Missions of the Reformed Church throughout part of his ministry.

The book contains an inscription: "Presented to Rev. J. H. A. Bomberger. With the Christian regards of the author. Philadelphia. July 12, 1859."
