A collection of pressed leaf specimens were discovered in a volume of the personal library of Ursinus College President John H. A. Bomberger. The specimens were digitized and are presented here for educational purposes. While we cannot know for certain that the leaves were collected by Bomberger, it is likely - there are two botanical specimens in the Bomberger memorabilia collection which are documented and known to have been collected by him in 1884. It is likely that the leaves were collected circa 1880 somewhere in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania - perhaps in Collegeville. Please note that we have attempted to identify the specimens using online tools, but we cannot be certain about the correct identification of every specimen.
