Description
Students created colorful glass projects in the interdisciplinary course "Form and Fusion: The Art and Science of Ceramics and Glass" at Ursinus College in Spring 2026. In this photo the completed glass bear is on display as part of the Celebration of Student Achievement on April 29, 2026.
Student Statement
Our group tried to emphasize our school spirit and create a bear. We didn't want this bear to follow the traditional Ursinus College logo so instead we made it with an abstract twist. We chose to use different colors of browns and yellows to accentuate the fur and layers of the bear. We decided to make the piece large because it was a collaborative work we split into even parts. Creating this bear was a fun and time-consuming process, but paid off in the end. -- Donald Lattanze
