Dear Mr. Denby:
For your information I enclose herewith copy of a telegraphic instruction today sent to your brother at Shanghai.
With reference to your desire for knowledge as to your brother's record, if you will call at the Department - say, Saturday morning between ten-thirty and one - I shall be authorized to give you the substance of what you desire.
Three transfers in the consular service, including that of your brother, are to be announced to the press today.
Trusting you are rapidly regaining your strength after that nasty attack of the grippe, I remain, always, my dear Mr. Denby,
Yours sincerely,
[signature]
