Philadelphia
February eleventh, 1913.
Hon. Philander C. Knox,
Secretary of State,
Washington, D.C.
Dear Sir:
It gives me great pleasure to join in the invitation which has been extended to you by the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture to be their guest at their one hundred and twenty-eighth anniversary. The representative character of the men who are co-operating in this association and the importance of the objects they seek to attain lead me to hope that you will be able to give this invitation favorable consideration. I believe that their anniversary may well be made the occasion for an important statement on the subject of agricultural credit systems.
With regards, believe me,
Very truly yours,
[signature]
Mayor.
