My dear Mr. Minister:

When you said good bye to me you were good enough to offer to do me any favor after your return to Spain. At that time I little supposed that I should so soon wish to avail of your amiability.

I beg leave to present to you Mr. A. E. Alexander, Assistant Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce of Toledo, Ohio. That city will hold next Autumn a Spanish festival in celebration of the fact of its being named after the ancient Toledo of Spain. Mr. Alexander, acting on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce of the progressive city of Toledo, desires to request your good offices in conveying to His Catholic Majesty a souvenir and an honorary invitation the receiving of which by His Majesty will be regarded by the Chamber of Commerce and the city of Toledo as a great favor.

Again wishing you bon voyage, I remain, my dear Mr. Pina,

Very sincerely yours,
