[If it is impossible that I shall be appointed Second Secretary of Embassy at London, I hereby apply for a secretaryship of embassy or legation at any of the following places in this order of preference: Vienna, St. Petersburg, Berlin, Madrid, Constantinople, Tokyo, Mexico.]
