My dear Mr. Reibold:
Mr. Crane is laid up just now. The next time he is in Washington I will tell him about you in a way which will make him know who you are, and so forth. Then, when he is in New York, which you will know by the newspapers, all you will have to do will be to call on him. I do not think he is going to start for China for a month or so, at least.
I am, my dear Mr. Reibold,
Yours sincerely,
