Dear Huntington:
I appreciate and cordially reciprocate your Christmas greeting. 1918 has been a sad year for our little family. My brother's widow died last July, and was soon followed to the Beyond by her eldest daughter, my pet niece, Constance, whom you may remember as Mrs. Tyler. My remaining niece, Lucy, is ill. May the New Year be kinder to you!
Sincerely, Alvey A. Adee
