The Ursinus College Celebration of Student Achievement (CoSA) began in 2006 to showcase and celebrate student achievement in all forms. Students from all class years, academic majors, interests, and experience levels are invited to share their accomplishments with the campus community. Classes are not held on CoSA day so that everyone has an opportunity to participate. The day is filled with talks, poster presentations, and performances from hundreds of students from every discipline.
A letter in the Grizzly newspaper of April 13, 2006 stated: "This day will offer something of interest to everyone and promises to be both enlightening and entertaining ... Student achievement is what makes Ursinus special, whether it takes place in the classroom, at a research conference, in a studio, or on a stage. We are setting aside a day in April to celebrate these achievements and we are starting a new tradition in the process."
