Project Description
This 28 page thesis reports the synthesis of poly (4-vinylpyridine) by cationic and free radical initiators, concentrated sulfuric acid and benzoylperoxide, respectively. The molecular weights of the various samples were measured and an evaluation of the several methods given. The effects of ionic strength and pH on the viscosity of solutions of poly (4-vinylpyridine) were also investigated.
