Project Description
This paper used data from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics to study how family size and birth order affect educational outcomes. Within this birth order effects are studied in relation to completed years of education. Data is also taken from the Transition to Adulthood supplementary study of the PSID to study the difference in educational aspirations and educational expectations. The paper fits into the larger field of literature surrounding education and family dynamics.
