Artist Statement
This work considers the question of what the experience of 'death' is like, and what someone would truly see and feel. Often this is viewed as an uncomfortable and upsetting topic due to the idea of finality; however, this work finds comfort within this unsettling experience through a reflection on memories collected throughout life. Rather than focusing on life ending, Flashbang Before You Die celebrates the momentous life that has been experienced.
