Artist Statement
This work encapsulates the relationship between animals and themselves, as well as the nature of the cycle of life to be mimicked in various other areas of life. The core message of this piece is that us, as humans, are really not different in our instincts than that of a fish or even something that exists on a microscopic level like tardigrades and zooplankton. By using strange moving parts, this piece is able to illustrate a mimicry, in itself, of the nature of the animals, themselves.
