Ursinus students from Professor Kay Healy’s Introductory Printmaking class participated in a community arts collaboration with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
The class visited the Northeast PAWS Center and had a tour from their Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator Allison Lamond. The students interacted with the adoptable cats, kittens, and dogs. They picked one animal to sketch and photograph and then created a print edition based on their images and impressions of the animal. The students made at least three copies, and one print of each animal was donated to PAWS for the pets’ future adopters.
