The Ursinus Center for Writing and Speaking aims to develop student skills and help students become more confident and competent communicators through an open dialogue. We provide an atmosphere that encourages growth as a writer through discussion, critical thinking, and self-reflection.

The Center is not a proofreading service. Instead, we look to improve the writer, not just the paper, by providing students with the tools to be their own writing advocates. We are available to help students in any discipline at any point in the writing process, free of charge. We also provide help on presentations and speaking skills.

Our goal is to bring the Ursinus community together by supporting students, faculty, and staff in all their writing and speaking endeavors; and encouraging campus-wide awareness of best practices in written and spoken communication.
