Wirst du nun nicht neu geboren,/Ach so sieht es Sonnenklar,/Warlich, so gehst du verlohren;/Jesu Wort bleibt ewig wahr./Dieses ist der Weg, die Bahn,/Die dich führet Himmelan,/Sonst sind alles falsche Stützen,/Die dich nicht im Tode schützen./Wann wir kaum gebohren werden,/Ist von erstem Lebenstritt,/Bis zum kühlen Grab der Erden,/Nur ein kurz gemeß’ner Schritt./Ach! mit jedem Augenblick/Gehet uns’re Kraft zurück,/Und wir sind mit jedem Jahre/Allzureif zur Todtenbahre.

Parrer eÿster/Die Tauf=Zeugen waren:/Jacob artz und seine frau Catharina

Birth and Baptismal Certificate.

To both of these spouses, Heinrich Borcker and his legal wife Catharina a born Minnig is a daughter to the world born, the 31st day of July in the year of our Lord 1828. This daughter was born in Lower Mahantango Township in Schuylkill County in the state of Pennsylvania in North America; and received through the Holy Baptism the name Catharina, was baptized the 9th of September in the year 1828 by the Reverend Mister Pastor Eyster. The Baptismal sponsors were Jacob Artz and his wife Catharina.
