Wann wir kaum geboren werden,/Ist vom ersten Lebenstritt/Bis zum kühlen Grab der Erden,/Nur ein kurz gemeß’ner Schritt./Ach! mit jedem Augenblick/Gehet uns’re Kraft zurück;/Und wir sind mit jedem Jahre,/ Aller eif zur Todten=Bahre!
O! wer weiß, in welcher Stunde,/Uns die letzte Stimme weckt;/Denn Gott hat’s mit seinem Munde/Keinem Menschen noch entdeckt!/Wer sein Haus nun wohl bestellt,/Geht mit Freuden aus der Welt:/Da die Sicherheit hingegen,/Ewig’s Sterben kann erregen.

Den/Ehegatten/Adam Miller/und seiner Frau Eva/eine geborne Henninger/ist eine Tochter geboren worden, den 18ten/September im Jahr unsers Herrn 1810/Diese Tochter ist geboren in Westpen/Taunschip: Schuilkil Caunty,/im Staat Penselvanÿ in/Nord=Amerika, ist getauft worden und erhielt den Namen Ester Miller/den 26 Tag/Dezember im Jahr/unsers Herrn 1810 von Herrn Pfr:Diefen=bach/Taufzeugen waren:/Christoffel:Hartung und/seine Frau Catharina/Allentown, Pa. Gedruckt und zu haben bei Blumer, Busch, und Co.
Und gefertigt von Martin Wetzler/am21sten April 1856/ und wurde Confirmirt/von refor=/mirte Pfarrer Johan Zülch Und begab/sich zu den/Ehstand mit/Samuel/König am/27ten Maÿ/1832 beÿ/Pfarrer Schäfer.
Ich bin getauft! ich steh’ im Bunde,/Durch meine Tauf mit meinem Gott!/So sprech ich stets mit frohem Munde,/In Kreuz, in Trübsal, Angst und Noth,/Ich bin getauft! des freu ich mich,/Die Freude bleibt mir ewiglich!
Ich bin getauft in deinem Namen,/Gott, Vater, Sohn und heil’ger Geist!/Ich bin gezählt zu deinem Saamen,/Zum Volk, das Dir geheiligt heißt./O! welch ein Glück ward dadurch mein!/Herr, laß mich dessen würdig seyn!

To both of these spouses, Adam Miller and his wife Eva a born Henninger is a daughter born, the 18th day of September in the year of our Lord, 1810. This daughter was born in West Penn Township in Schuylkill County in the state of Pennsylvania in North America, and was baptized and received the name Ester Miller the 26 day of December in the year of our Lord 1810 by Mister Pastor Diefenbach. The baptismal sponsors were Christoffel Hartung and his wife Catharina. Allentown, Pa. Printed and for sale by Blumer, Busch, and Co.
And prepared by Martin Wetzler on the 21st of April 1856 and was confirmed by Reformed Pastor Johan Zülch and gave herself in marriage with Samuel König on the 27th of May 1832 by Pastor Schäfer.
