[Dear Miss Snell,]

[You made me fight for what I thought even if no one else agreed with me.]

[You gave me the chance to prove myself in sports in college - and listened to me if I failed.]

[I learned a great deal about learning as I watched and listened while you coached others - that often different people need the same thing explained to them in different ways for them to succeed is a basic part of my philosophy.]

[You are always an example to me to never be satisfied except with the best effort.]

[In the tapestry of my life you are a major figure, and I have never once regretted that decision made by a 14 year old on a long ago day to go to Ursinus because it had a coach who had just finished two undefeated hockey seasons.]

[I hope you have many more rich years in your future.]
