[Miss Eleanor Snell as a leader of basketball, field hockey and softball activities in the Philadelphia area for many years, has made an outstanding contribution to these sports. She developed a high standard of skill and teamwork in her college students and the teams representing Ursinus College are usually winners. Many of her players have continued their participation in these sports after graduation, and represented the United States in international competition. The teachers, trained by Miss Snell, are well known and some of the most competent in the area.]

[It has been a privilege and a pleasure to have known and worked with Eleanor. I wish for her a most enjoyable period of retirement.]
