Dear Captain Moss:

Pray accept my very appreciative thanks for your kindness in sending me a copy of the enlarged edition of your "Officers Manual". My wife and I are both delighted to hear of the great success this book has had, and we congratulate you heartily upon your achievement. I am glad to hear that you are likely to get a holiday in Europe this summer. We hope that whenever you are in Washington you will not fail to come to see us.

With many kind regards and good wishes, in which my wife joins, I remain,

Yours sincerely,

Captain James A. Moss, U. S. A.,
