Dear Mr. Lauterbach:

Through a very great oversight on the part of my secretary your letter of November 8th to Mr. Knox has just been brought to my attention. I have immediately written a personal letter to the Embassy in order to get information concerning General A. F. Cheref Spiridovitch, and so as soon as a reply is received I will communicate with you at once.
