Pray accept my thanks for your kind congratulations upon my appointment to my present post.
With reference to your question about the hardwood industry in the Philippine Islands, I can only suggest that you address the Bureau of Insular Affairs, War Department, Washington as the Government office which might be able to furnish you with the information you desire.
