Description
Black imagination has allowed me to understand and see life through a clear lens. A lens that more clearly sees and understands the treatment, challenges, and societal issues a person of color faces. These aspects of systemic racism impact the decisions and success of black individuals in our society. The foggy lens that I lived with my entire life made these issues almost impossible to see, but black imagination has brought clarity to my perspective of our world and to a new world that I was disconnected from.
