Student Exhibition Year
Black and white photograph depicting plants growing out of a plastic compact disc case. One of a series of three. Presented as part of the 2023 Annual Student Exhibit in the Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College.
I make art to escape the struggles of the everyday world. A chance to stop for a second to experience a sense of peace. I use various media to express this idea. My work relates to human connection with the natural world. I enjoy the experience of creating by instinct, of making something out of nothing (or things we tend to forget). I think it is important to reflect on the idea that nature can help us step away from life. It is a crucial way to support the wellbeing of every person. Stop and connect with the little things around you because you might never realize how healing they can be.
