Acrylic painting on canvas with attached cloth strips. Presented as part of the 2022 Annual Student Exhibit in the Berman Museum of Art at Ursinus College.
Artist Statement
In this piece, I use real measurements of my body. The cloth across the canvas is the exact length of different measurements of my body, and the lines that are vertical on the cloth are the average measurements for women on the same parts of the body. This is to show myself and other women around me that even though you may perceive yourself one way, you do not always see the correct version of yourself.
