Issued three times a year when it began in 1937, the Alumni Journal was the first publication to present Ursinus College news written from the alumni standpoint. Sent to all Ursinus graduates, the magazine highlighted alumni accomplishments, career milestones and information such as marriages and deaths. It continued in this way until 1969, when it changed its name to the "Ursinus Magazine."
